The Bath is on the Other Cat

As I have written in the past, when Frankie comes home from his sanitary cut at the groomer, Molly treats him like an enemy. After a few days they are back to being buddies. Molly has not had a visit to the groomer since we have adopted him several years ago. We never gave him a bath at home either. She does a great job of keeping herself clean. Cats and Baths,,, there are arguments for and against on this subject. It so happens that we are split down the middle in our home. Two cats and only one goes to the groomer. To be honest, if Frankie didn't need a sanitary cut, he wouldn't be going to the groomer either. Back to what I am writing about. We decided to bring Molly to the groomer for a bath out of curiosity. We wanted to see how Frankie would react when Molly came home all dolled up and smelling like a stranger. As it turns out, Frankie was so curious, when Molly got home,  he wouldn't leave her side the entire night. He loved the new Molly and couldn't sniff her enough. Molly gave him one little hiss at one point because he couldn't get any alone time but that was the extent of it. I wonder why Frankie doesn't mind the new and different smells on Molly but Molly will not tolerate it with Frankie. Molly will hiss and smack Frankie for a few days until the old oders are back..... very interesting???
